OFA Volunteers can sign up and work on various projects meant to create meaningful healthcare reform: phone banking, canvassing, work on a documentary film project, micro-campaigns, and House Calls.
Dr. Broun's townhall in Clarkesville, GA was a sad moment in our time for the many thousands of President Obama's supporters not only in Athens-Clarke County, but for folks from Toccoa all the way down to Augusta. His comments to seniors that they may visit a death panel have spread fear and hatred throughout the district. His physical antics- slamming down heavy notebooks of paper to the floor while making hateful remarks about President Obama- have incited crowds to act like angry mobs, not thoughtful citizens.
Now Broun drafts letters claiming "When mama falls and breaks her hip, she'll just lie in her bed in pain until she dies with pneumonia because her needed surgery is not cost efficient."
